Transfer of Care Reporting System

Background Transfer of Care System Development

This project was established to address the Garling Recommendation 80 to provide better management of data contributing to the measurement of the Off Stretcher Time (OST) KPI. This initiative is designed to achieve two main improvements to address the current problems identified in the current process:

1. Establish an efficient and automated join between both processes at the point where the Ambulance arrives at the emergency department; and

2. Explicitly capture the Transfer of Care as an event within the Emergency Department systems.
