Draft Models

Draft Models

As explained in the IDME description, expert knowledge of data, its organisation, associated rules and reports are defined as meta data (archetype model) which is stored in a database called a model.  This encapsulation of clinical or business knowledge means that draft models can be formulated based on best practise and that these drafts are used as a rapid way of developing a new clinical/business solution using either the IDME or Clinixian.

Our research and development is also looking at using standard nomencaltures such as SNOMED CT to create a data dictionary and its associated hierarchy that can be used to develop a source for new clinical models.

Meridian intends to develop models for a large range of clinical disciplines eg:

Chronic illnesses:

  • Diabetes care
  • Asthma care
  • Allergy care

Other medical or clinical disciplines:

Allied Health:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Audiology
  • Rehabilitation

Other:

  • Community Nursing
  • Palliative Care
