Modification and Enhancement Services

This service covers all aspects associated with changing or expanding an existing system including review of the existing system's requirements, gap analysis, design and specification of changes, development and implementation of changes.

Modification and enhancement services are normally provided as part of our service level agreements (SLAs).  Under an SLA such work is provided at a discounted rate.

The suggested approach is to give a fixed price for investigation and detailed design.  The cost of implementing these specified changes is usually less than the estimated cost before the analysis is done.  Where the requirements and their impact is understood prior to detailed specification the cost of the entire project can be given up front.

Services include:

Gap Analysis

Identifies the gap between the existing system and the wanted requirements

Impact Analysis

Once the gap has been specified it will be necessary to identify the impact on the existing system to determine whether the changes are possible and an indicative costing to implement them.

Systems Change Specification

After determining the impact and getting approval to make the changes the next step is to produce a detailed specification of the changes required.
